Since 2008 I am section leader and thereby responsible for the teaching, extension work and research in veterinary parasitology at the Department of Biomedicine and Veterinary Public Health (BVF), the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). My research focuses on various helminth infections in farmed animals, with particular emphasis on developing new diagnostic and sustainable control methods, including techniques for detecting and delaying the selection of anthelmintic resistance. Over the years, I have supervised 15 PhD projects and been the principal investigator for several national (n = 35) and EU-funded (n = 4) projects as well as been involved in other collaborations in the subject area.
